Waffle Candied Bacon Sundae

2 each waffles, prepared
1 scoop vanilla ice cream
1 TBL caramel sauce
1 rosette whipped cream
1 each orange, slice
2 each raspberries


Cooking Directions

  1. In oven, set on low, place waffles
  2. Warm until heated through and beginning to brown (do not flip)
  3. In center of plate, place one waffle, toasted side down In center of waffle, place vanilla ice cream
  4. With toasted side up, shingle second waffle on ice cream
  5. Drizzle caramel sauce in a zig-zag over waffles and ice cream
  6. Evenly sprinkle candied bacon over caramel sauce, waffles and ice cream
  7. In corner of plate, place orange slice and top with the raspberries and whipped cream
  • Candied Bacon can be closely replicated by cooking “thick-cut sugar-cured” bacon until crisp. While still warm, rough chop the bacon and sprinkle it with granulated sugar, approximately 1 TBL for every 2-3 slices.

CHEF’S NOTES: Waffles can be made in advance. Prepare your favorite waffle recipe and add real maple syrup to the batter, approximately 1 TBL for every 4-6 waffles
